Black Handwoven Ugandan Basket Set Image
The baskets were made by Josephine Namaalwa.  Josephine lives in the town of Buyamba in the Rakai district of Uganda.  She is a 23 year old mother who is raising 5 children.  She learned the art of basket weaving through a program sponsored by Ray of Hope Medical Missions at their Hope Center birthing center in Buyamba.  Through the money she has earned selling her baskets, she is able to pay of her children to attend school.
