This set of pieces were created by Master Potter James (Jim) Sanders. The piece range in creation dates from 1997 to 2008. His pieces are nature inspired and truly beautiful.

"Jim has a background in art education, having graduated from Anderson University in Indiana in 1963, and worked toward a master's in ceramics at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 1965. After traveling the county learning under master potters Charlie Counts and Marguerite Wildenhain, he and his family moved to Marshall, Texas in 1973, where he worked at Marshall Pottery for a year until opening Sanders' Pottery Studio. 
His pieces feature a variety of vibrant and muted neutral colors along with detailed and sometimes functional forms and shapes. Most of the carvings are nature-focused, as Jim said he is often inspired by what he sees outdoors."
